What to watch for
- Does the bird relax or become more agitated?
- Does the sound interrupt rest or attention?
- Does volume change the response dramatically?
- Is the bird trying to move away from the source?
Important: if sound seems to drive screaming, frantic movement, or repeated startle responses, it is not enrichment.
