Practical priorities
- Place cages where birds can see life without being overwhelmed by it
- Reduce kitchen fumes, drafty spots, and collision risks
- Choose surfaces and zones that are easier to clean
- Protect sleep and downtime instead of keeping the bird in the busiest corner
What matters more than decor
- Air quality
- Lighting and daily rhythm
- Safe out-of-cage routes
- Noise levels and household predictability
Important: the home should fit the bird’s needs first. If something looks good but creates risk or constant stress, it is the wrong choice.
