Things to assess honestly
- Noise, transport, and unfamiliar handling
- Infection-control risks around other birds
- Whether the bird can recover well afterward
- Whether the event could work just as well without live birds present
Important: if the educational or social benefit depends on stressed birds being displayed, the format is probably wrong.
