What helps
- Use the same short sounds or words consistently
- Practice when the bird is alert and relaxed
- Keep sessions brief
- Notice which sounds the bird actually engages with
Important: if the bird looks tense or overwhelmed, stop. Talking ability is not a welfare goal in itself.
