Bird Training Ethics Are Usually Simpler Than They Sound

Ethical training is mostly about paying attention to the bird in front of you. If the process is causing fear, repeated stress, or pointless pressure, it is not ethical just because the method sounds thoughtful.

  • Does the bird have room to opt out or pause?
  • Is the goal useful for daily life or mostly for human satisfaction?
  • Are you respecting body language early enough?
  • Would a setup change help more than more training?
