Managing Noise and Screens Around Birds

Birds often cope better with steady, predictable background sound than with sudden booming audio, flashing visuals, or long periods of late-night stimulation.

Helpful rules

  • Keep loud bass and sharp sound effects away from the cage area
  • Protect sleep hours from TV and gaming spillover
  • Watch for startle reactions when new sounds or visuals are introduced
  • Use distance and room layout to reduce stress
Remember: a bird that goes silent, freezes, or startles repeatedly is not necessarily “getting used to it.”
