What helps most
- Rotating a few toys instead of flooding the cage with many
- Mixing shredding, climbing, chewing, and foraging options
- Leaving some predictability in place so the bird can settle
- Watching which items the bird actually uses
Birds enjoy variety, but too much novelty at once can be as unhelpful as too little. Good enrichment gives the bird something to do without turning the day into constant stimulation.
